Olena Zelenska has urged the UK to "unite the world" and help end Ukraine's war with Russia.
Ukraine's First Lady addressed the House of Commons on Tuesday (29.11.22) and likened the bombardment of Ukrainian cities to Nazi Germany's bombing of Britain during the Second World War.
Zelenska said: "You did not surrender, and we will not surrender.
"Your island survived the air raids that were identical to those Russia uses to put us on our knees.
"We are hearing sirens every day identical to those British generations heard."
Zelenska is visiting the UK to highlight the plight of the Ukrainian people as they face a harsh winter with strikes from Vladimir Putin's forces.
The First Lady told MPs that Britain should be a "world leader in justice efforts" to ensure that Russia pays for war crimes that have been committed during the conflict.
She said: "Victory is not the only thing we need, we need justice."
Zelenska branded Russian leader Putin as a "monster" and revealed that she has no desire to communicate with the despot.
She told Sky News: "I'll be very honest with you. I do not want to talk to him directly, ever. I do not want to be in that situation."
Zelenska stressed that Putin and all those complicit in Russia's atrocities must face the consequences of their actions.
She explained: "I think it's not just one person as Putin, we are talking about collective Putin and we think that, and I think that, the whole collective Putin should be punished."
