The oldest dog ever has lost his title after Guinness World Records launched an investigation.
Bobi was thought to have been 30 years and 268 days old when he was named as the world's oldest pooch last February but doubts have now been raised about the validity of his record.
The canine - who lived in Portugal and died in October 2023 - was a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo, a breed that has an average life expectancy of 12 to 14 years.
Some have asked why photos supposedly of Bobi in his younger days show him with white paws when they were brown towards the end of his life.
Guinness World Records have confirmed that the dog's title has been withdrawn until they have completed their inquiries.
A spokeswoman told The Times newspaper: "While our review is ongoing we have decided to temporarily pause both the record titles for 'oldest dog living' and 'oldest dog ever' - just until all of our findings are in place."
