US Navy has been accused of refusing to release UFO footage

John Greenewald Jr, who has spent more than two decades uncovering government secrets, exposed a letter he received from a US Navy spokesperson that denied a request to release alleged never-before-seen UFO sightings.

Greenwald published the letter on his site titled The Black Vault, which has published over two million files of government secrets including the CIA and National Security Agency.

According to the UFO hunter, his request was sent a day after the Navy ignored three videos of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) sightings, which were captured by the pilots.

The Navy's FOIA office deputy director Gregory Cason, said in response: "The UAP Task Force has responded back to DNS-36 and have stated that the requested videos contain sensitive information pertaining to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) and are classified and are exempt from disclosure in their entirety under exemption 5 U.S.C. § 552 (b)(1) in accordance with Executive Order 13526 and the UAP Security Classification Guide."
