Passionate wildlife photographer Rodney Holbrook, 75, has made an alarming discovery at his Powys, Wales home after a small rodent proved not every unwanted creature is a pest.

Speaking to Sky News, Rodney admitted he was left baffled after items in his shed had been mysteriously put away overnight.

He set up a night camera, and caught the furry culprit.

He has nicknamed the animal the Welsh Tidy Mouse, and he's been in there "every night" moving the clutter round.

Rodney said: "It's only the one doing it, but I've had one video where I saw two on there, or three counting the one tidying up.

"He will eat the odd one or two nuts. I think what it's doing is piling things on top of it to hide them.

"This is what I think is happening, to hide the nuts from other mice or anything that might want to get to his stash."

Some people have urged him to really embrace the hilarious situation by putting other items in the shed to get some "funny videos" out of it, but Rodney isn't quite so keen on disrupting the mouse.

He added: "But I just leave it naturally. Just naturally let whatever's going to happen happen."
