A tiger that was seen roaming around Houston has been captured safe and well.
The animal was spotted in the Texan city last week and the local police chief has warned people that they should not be keeping tigers as pets.
Houston Police Department Commander Ron Borza said: "In no way, shape or form should you have an animal like that in your household.
"That animal is only nine months old and it already weighs 175lb (79kg). Fully grown that animal can get to 600lb (270kg)."
Borza added that it was a daunting prospect having to cope with the tiger and urged the animal's owners to release it into the wild.
He explained: "I work out every day but that animal was extremely powerful - if he wanted to overcome you, he could do it instantly.
"You shouldn't have that in your home - it's also not good for the tiger: he should be out running around."
