Men can be allergic to their orgasms

Experts have discovered nearly 60 cases of men who fall ill immediately after climaxing, with symptoms including itchy eyes, a blocked nose or flu-like symptoms.

Sufferers can also experience feverishness, muscle weakness and problems with their speech and the side effects can continue for up to a week after the orgasm.

Scientists have named the condition Post Orgasm Illness Syndrome (POIS) but now think that they have found a way to cure the condition with over-the-counter pills.

Lead researcher Andrew Shanholtzer - from Oakland University in the US - wrote in the journal Urology Case Reports: "POIS is becoming increasingly recognised as a culprit among men experiencing sexual dysfunction.

"Many (health) providers do not know about it, let alone the public.

"Given it is newly being described as a condition, it is more than likely that it is underdiagnosed, with many sufferers out there."
