A man robbed from new employers on his first day of work 30 times before his eventual arrest.
According to police in the Oita Prefecture, a 36-year-old Japanese man pulled in almost $100,000 in just over a year from convenience stores across 16 of the country's 47 prefectures.
According to the authorities, the man would get hired as a past time worker and then quit on his first day, but he would leave with as much money as possible from cash registers, safes and customer purchases.
Regarding his motives, he is said to have told police: ''I wanted money for living expenses and for having fun.''
