A man racked up a £192,000 phone bill while on holiday.
John Nisill was informed that he had used 43BG of data while on a short break to Turkey last year and confessed that he "nearly fainted" when BT told him how much money he owed.
Nisill insists that he only answered a couple of emails and made around 16 minutes worth of phone calls during his trip and and admits that his predicament was made even worse as it was his work phone.
The car salesman said: "My boss called and said you’re going to have to switch off the phone. The bill seems a little high.
"I said ‘What is it?’ He said '£100,000'. The next day he phoned back and said, ‘Definitely switch it off, it’s now £192,000.'
Nisill's boss Paul Trotter is convinced that a computer error is responsible for his high bill.
He said: "BT phoned and I nearly fell off my chair when the bloke said how much.
"It’s obviously a computer error.
"I’ve had a look at the bill and it shoots up £80 every 30 seconds or so. That’s just not possible."
