A man is planning to build a boat and sail across the Atlantic to meet Elon Musk.
Kristian Ryt has transformed his flat in Manchester into a shipyard as he plans an epic two-month voyage at sea to meet the billionaire at his SpaceX Starbase in Texas.
Ryt - who hails from Poland but moved to the UK six years ago - has never spent more than five hours on the water and has no engineering qualifications but says his project is motivated by the fear of a "simple life".
He told LADbible: "I really am scared about a simple life. Going to work, then back home. Same day every day - that scares me."
Ryt sees Musk as an inspiration as he is "pushing humanity forward" and is hoping to emulate the Tesla tycoon.
He explained: "I basically want to be the same kind of person. To push myself forward more than the average person."
