A man has been left with half a house after a communication breakdown with the builder.
Bishnu Aryal, from Nepal, had spent years saving up thousands for his dream property in Sydney, Australia but a mix-up with the developer, Zac Homes, turned his plans into a nightmare.
Aryal explained that the developers had built a duplex on half of the plot, leaving an "embarrassing" massive windowless grey exterior wall.
He told Nine News: "I called the supervisor and asked him what's going on, why is the house like this? And he said, 'It's a duplex, semi-duplex', and I nearly fainted that day.
"Where's my house? I want the rest of my house. It's not a free-standing house, it's not a duplex, it's half a house. And it looks embarrassing."
Aryal revealed that the house had taken longer than planned to build which further increased his frustration.
He said: "They were promising us the house will be ready in one year's time, but we waited for three long years.
"When we come to see the progress of the building, we see our building was different to what we were expecting."
