A man has eaten 30,000 McDonald's burgers throughout his life, and claims they are his ''perfect food''.
Don Gorske, a retired prison officer from Wisconsin, ate his milestone meal at the popular fast food chain in Fond du Lac, where he ate his first burger after getting his driving licence in 1972.
He told the Fond du Lac Reporter: ''This one is a biggie for me.
''As soon as I got my first car, this is the first place I came to. The first day I came here I ate nine Big Macs. It was like I couldn't get enough hamburger at that time.''
The self-proclaimed ''Big Mac maniac'' ate two burgers a day and even proposed to his wife under the golden arches of the iconic McDonald's sign, but insists he is in good health despite remarks from health-conscious people.
He said: ''People make fun of me, but it never bothered me, at my last medical check-up I had low cholesterol and my blood pressure was perfect.''
