A man with a love of VHS tapes has created his own personal Blockbuster in his home.
The individual, known only as The Mayor, has accumulated over 10,000 videotapes with some dating back prior to the mandatory age certification for videos.
Fellow VHS enthusiast John Lunt told the Liverpool Echo newspaper: "When I first saw it, I was shocked.
"It's mind-blowing. It's not just the collection, but the way it's presented to make it look like a real video store."
One of the titles in The Mayor's collection include the 1974 horror classic ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’.
The collection is completed with an old Blockbuster sign that The Mayor unearthed from a store in Liverpool, the city where he resides.
The mystery man added: "These things are collector's items. I had 10,000 in 2017, but I'm always getting job lots in - including another 2,000 this month alone."
He says that his collection is forever a work in progress.
The Mayor shared: "I'm always building it and building it. It's a full-time occupation and I travel all over the country to get video collections."
