A man arrested for allegedly stealing his neighbours shoes had a fetish for flip-flops and was found with a staggering 126 pairs that he had stolen from locals in central Thailand, according to police.

Officers identified the man using footage from CCTV set up outside his latest alleged victim’s house. Following a search of the man’s home, they found his collection of shoes which were all reported to be ‘well worn’, with the suspect claiming he had been collecting for over two years.
He claimed he would wear them around his home as it made him feel special, police said. He allegedly told police that after several hours of wearing the flip-flops, he cuddled and kissed them, and rubbing them on his body.
His collection included many brands, sizes and colours of shoes, all of them used.
