Susan Duncan, Professor of Food Science and Technology, and Bertolli with Butter have unveiled five meals that contain aphrodisiacs which are sure to inject extra desire into the romantic day.
Professor Duncan explained: ''Food has a fascinating ability to influence our mood.
''The textures of food can put us in the right frame of mind. Smooth, velvety textures are very pleasurable. Aroma and flavour can also contribute to the romance. Salty, earthy, sweet flavours, which are reminiscent of the sea, might reflect intimate experiences with a partner.''
Meals include 'Pull'em Penne' and 'You've Tortellini Me a Thing or Two about Love', which feature ingredients such as seafood and saffron to boost your libido, whilst the high carbohydrate and low protein combinations increase serotonin and calm an angry other half.
