A primary school in Japan has demanded parents buy their children Giorgio Armani uniforms costing £525.
The Taimei Elementary School, in Tokyo, has been criticised for the amount of money they are expecting parents to fork out on a uniform in a place where tuition fees are already a burden, the Metro reported.
The school announced their plans to introduce the option uniform by the Italian designer and education officials said that they are free to set the rules and uniform choices.
In Japan, uniforms are considered to be durable and thrifty and are worn at most secondary schools as well.
