A Japanese man has spent over £12,000 on a realistic border collie costume.
The man, named only as Toko, hired a company called Zeppet - known for making sculptures and models for movies and commercials - to create the bespoke outfit as he wanted to look like his favourite breed of dog.
The company took 40 days to make the canine costume as Toko went through multiple revisions to make sure it was perfect.
He told the Japanese outlet Mynavi: "I made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on.
"My favourite is quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal close to me would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog.
"I met such a condition and made it a collie, my favourite breed of dog."
