James Blunt accidentally ''emailed the whole of the UK'' this morning (29.07.13).
''emailed the whole of the UK''
Thousands of people took to social networking sites to express their surprise after receiving an email which appeared to be from the singer, entitled ''I'd like you to be the first to hear my new single''.
But it was later revealed the email, which featured a link to his new single 'Bonfire Heart', was sent out mistakenly to people who had signed up to receive information about other bands on his label.
The 'You're Beautiful' hitmaker tweeted: ''Oops... Just emailed the whole of the UK by mistake! Ha! (sic)''
Several fellow singers took to Twitter to joke about the error, including blonde beauty Nina Nesbitt.
She wrote: ''So today I've found out I'm apparently part of the James Blunt mailing list. Who would've known?
''Great marketting from James Blunt's team I must say. Email the whole of the UK!''
A spokesperson told Digital Spy: ''This morning an email regarding James Blunt's new single was sent to users who have subscribed his mailing list.
''Due to a clerical error, the email was accidentally serviced to some users who had subscribed to mailing lists for other Warner Music artists.''
