A cannonball firing humans will be a new attraction at Bestival this year.
The music extravaganza, which takes place at Lulworth Estate in Dorset, South West England from August 2 to 5, has a theme of Circus, so it's the perfect way to entertain the crowds with the family entertainment shows celebrating 250 years in business in London, with the anniversary of Philip Astley's first circus performance at Westminster Bridge.
Bestival ringmaster Rob da Bank said: ''in my other life as Ringmaster Robby I'm pretty darn excited about having a Human Cannonball flying across the Lulworth Estate in August. Rodrigo is the best in the business and will not disappoint. Watch ya heads!''
The Human Cannonball, Rodrigo Pérez said: ''Firing yourself out of an enormous cannon takes a man of a high calibre. Luckily, I'm a cannonball kind of guy. Come and be amazed as I shoot through the sky, flying over your crazy, smiling faces.''
Rodrigo Pérez is one of the world's most-acclaimed proponents of the art.
He'll be fired from the barrel of a custom-built cannon, which sees him fly up to 25 metres through the air.
