Hotel built from salt
An entire hotel has been built out of salt.
The Palacio de Sal hotel is made out of one million 35 centimetre squared blocks of salt, took two years to build and sits on the world's largest salt plane, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, South America.
The resort boasts 30 rooms, a dining room and a bar all built from salt, and even the chairs and tables in the salt themed restaurant are made out of compressed blocks of the mineral.
