A church has installed re-heatable pew cushions to keep its congregation warm.
''It could have potential.''
Broadclyst and South Tawton in Devon, south west England, is trialling 100 of the cushions, which are designed to be warm for 90 minutes and used 1,000 times, over the next three months in an attempt to keep worshippers heated.
The Diocese of Exeter, which has around 450 churches that are listed buildings and difficult to heat, said: ''It could have potential.''
The trial could be extended to further churches if it is deemed a success.
