A gull was rescued after being impaled on a lightning rod on a church roof in Massachusetts.
Firefighters successfully responded to calls of the bird being stuck after getting his wing trapped on the pole on top the roof of the St Joseph Catholic Church in Medway.
Erin Mallette, a local animal control officer was “happy to report” that the bird is currently being cared for and is expected to be soaring through the New England skies again soon after he makes a full recovery.
A Town of Medway Facebook post read: “The gull will be fine and is on the mend.”
