Gorilla celebrates 14th birthday
A gorilla has celebrated its 14th birthday.
''He is like a celebrity, he has had books and toys made of him. People really recognise and feel like they have a real relationship with him.''
Yakini, who shot to fame as a youngster when a picture of him looking cute was beamed around the world, celebrated his birthday at the Werribee Open Range Zoo in Melbourne, Australia, where he lives, and look impressed with his stack of building blocks and colourful presents.
Zoo keeper Kelly Hobbs said: ''He is like a celebrity, he has had books and toys made of him. People really recognise and feel like they have a real relationship with him.''
