A GoPro camera has been recovered after it was submerged underwater for six years.
Rose Zhang was participating in an ocean clean-up in Hawaii when she came across the camera that remained sealed in its waterproof case.
She also discovered that the memory card still worked and posted a video from the camera on Facebook in an attempt to find the owner.
The search revealed that the camera belonged to Nainoa Kamai - who had been gifted the GoPro by his mother before losing it.
He told KHON-TV: "I started getting a bunch of messages of this video of me from seven years ago and I was like what is this? I clicked on it and I was like, 'No way somebody found the GoPro'."
Kamai added that he plans to put a new battery in the camera to see if it still works.
