A giant trojan horse made a Yorkshire theatre trope, the Animated Objects Theatre Company broke a Guinness World Record

A Yorkshire acting troupe’s paper structure based on the wooden pony from Homer’s ‘The Odyessey’ earnt themselves a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest cardboard structure.

The cardboard horse - which was made by The Animated Objects Theatre Company in the town of Bridlington Spa - was 23 feet and 3 inches high wide, 55 feet 3.39 inches long and 25 feet and 7.5 inches tall.

The group are currently in the process of putting on a production based on classic Greek epic, titled ‘The Odyssey -- An Epic Adventure on the Yorkshire Coast’.

In a Facebook post, they detailed how “thrilled” they were to have hit the milestone.
