A German man has been vaccinated against Covid 217 times.
The 62-year-old patient had the shots administered privately over a period of 29 months and appears to have suffered no ill effects despite defying medical advice, according to boffins at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
The unique case has been documented in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal and revealed how experts at the university conducted tests on the man after finding out about his vast number of vaccinations.
Dr. Kilian Schober, from the university's microbiology department, said: "We learned about his case via newspaper articles.
"We then contacted him and invited him to undergo various tests in Erlangen. He was very interested in doing so."
Despite having no impact on the man's health, experts have warned against getting a plethora of jabs.
They say: "Current research indicates that a three-dose vaccination, coupled with regular top-up vaccines for vulnerable groups, remains the favoured approach.
"There is no indication that more vaccines are required."
