A study carried out by NOW TV ahead of National Underwear Day on Saturday (05.08.17) has revealed the comedy drama starring Robert Carlyle, Paul Barber and Mark Addy, has been nominated the number one film in which the actors strip down to their undergarments.
And the final scene in the 1997 production, which sees the full cast taunt the crowds and viewers with a strip tease, is the defining moment in the entire production that has attracted the attention of the British public and led to it being ranked in first place with 30 per cent of the vote.
And this news coincides with the film's 20th anniversary.
Whilst 'The Full Monty' bags the hotspot, the snippet in 'Bridget Jones's Diary' when the titular character is caught in her ''granny pants'' when on a date with Daniel Clever has been ranked the second favourite underwear scene.
And Demi Moore laying on a bed in just her knickers whilst surrounded by cash in 'Indecent Proposal' has been ranked in tenth place with 11 per cent of the vote.
