Research has found that couples who have diets containing plenty of fruit and vegetables scored higher when asked to rate their satisfaction between the sheets.
Experts suggest that health benefits associated with the foods slashes the risk of erection problems for men and improves blood flow and mood for females - which are important when it comes to making love.
The team tracked more than 10,000 adults in Finland over a period of nine years to establish the importance of a fruit and veg diet for sex lives and found that the healthiest eaters scored the best.
Dr. Sade Stenlund, from the University of Turku, said: "Our study suggests it contributes to sustained or improved satisfaction with sex life over time.
"This could motivate people to have healthy behaviour."
