A Russian man was surprised to discover an array of unusual looking fish that resembled baby dragons, cheese burgers and doughnuts.
Man finds mystifying fish that resemble unusual shapes like jam doughnuts and cheeseburgers
Roman Fedorstov, who studies marine science at university in Murmansk, was sailing the Norwegian sea when he made the discovery.
The fisherman shared his catch of the day on Instagram, posting a picture of a pink fish with a long feathered tail and fins that looked like wings.
He captioned the snaps: “Just a quote: ‘It’s one thing to chase something nameless, but quite another thing to find it’ – GF Lovecraft.”
The photo quickly went viral and gained over 23,000 likes, and his followers pointed out the resemblance to the fairy tale creature.
One user wrote: “It looks a little like a newly hatched dragon to me."
Another said: “Looks mythological.”
Roman, who travels all over the world, has picked up multiple mystifying specimen. During his explorations he also found one fish that looked like a cheese burger with teeth and another that looked like a jam doughnut.
