Pan Xiaoting passed away on 14 July while taking part in an online challenge on Mukbang - where hosts consume vast amounts of food while interacting with their adueince.
According to TimesNow, an autopsy found the former waitress' stomach had been left "deformed" and full of "undigested food" as a result of her liversteams, which reportedly lasted up to 10 hours and involved her eating aorund 10kg of food.
The 24 year old was said to have been hospitalised in the past for gastrointestinal bleeding, but continued her streams.
In 2020, China introduced regulations to curb excessive eating in content on the platform, with streamers facing fines if they violate the rules.
