The biggest hunt for the Loch Ness monster in decades has ended in failure.
Enthusiasts spent the weekend camping out in search of the legendary Scottish beast but are no closer to finding Nessie.
The monster hunters used an array of hi-tech equipment in an attempt to locate Nessie and did pick up four sounds with an underwater microphone - although they later admitted that the noises had not been recorded and could actually have come from ducks.
Alan McKenna, of Loch Ness Exploration, said: "We know the monster is elusive, so it's not surprising we don't have a concrete sighting, but we've all had lots of fun and proven the mystery lives on."
Christie McLeod, who had travelled from Canada to join the search for Nessie, said: "This is my first official hunt. There are two types of people in the world, Nessie believers and non-believers, and I'm not interested in the latter."
