A life-size statue of Elon Musk has been mocked after its unveiling.
A bronze statue of the entrepreneur was placed in New York City by an investment website to mark his 50th birthday on Monday (28.06.21) but was savaged by unimpressed Twitter users.
Public.com wrote on the social media platform: "Love or hate him, @elonmusk turns 50 today. Because Elon's ambition (and maybe ego) is definitely not miniature, we dropped a life-sized statue on 14th St. and The High Line stairs in NYC. Go say hi."
One user responded: "This is worse than if you took a s*** in the street."
Another suggested that the statue resembled former US President Gerald Ford rather than the Tesla founder.
The comment read: "What a stunning likeness, so accurate and lifelike. Oh wait, that's not a statue of Gerald Ford?"
