Elon Musk will not allow conspiracy theorist Alex Jones back on Twitter.
The accounts of controversial figures such as former US President Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West were reactivated over the weekend but the maverick tycoon will not be letting Jones back on the platform following his claims that the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012, where 20 children and six adults were killed, was a hoax.
The InfoWars host has been forced to pay $1.44 billion in damages after falsely and repeatedly claiming that the shooting was fake.
Musk has denied Jones the chance to return to Twitter and claimed that he "had no mercy" for anyone who "would use the deaths of children for gain, politics or fame".
The Tesla billionaire's son Nevada died at 10 days old in 2002 and Musk recalled how his baby died in his arms and he "felt his final heartbeat".
Jones was permanently banned from Twitter in 2018 but in a video posted on the platform Rumble, the conspiracy theorist said he did not care about being on the social media site.
Musk allowed Trump back onto the site after conducting a poll but the politician has suggested that he may not return as he has communicated via his own Truth Social app since being banned from Twitter after the US Capitol riot last year.
