A herd of elephants got drunk on corn wine after stumbling into a village on coronavirus lockdown.
The group of 14 animals entered the village of Yunnan, China, where people are social distancing in a bid to halt the spread of the deadly virus.
A Reddit user shared a photo of two elephants sleeping after enjoying too much wine, which have since received thousands of likes on Twitter.
He wrote: ''While humans carry out social distancing, a group of 14 elephants broke into a village in Yunan province, looking for corn and other food.
''They ended up drinking 30kg of corn wine and got so drunk that they fell asleep in a nearby tea garden.''
Conservationist Parveen Kaswan wrote that many elephants are fond of alcohol and seek it out - and then return to places they found it before.
He explained: ''They mark the houses where they found it last time. If they see drunk people they get irritated also, since it was not shared with them.''
