Hot chocolate can help with weight loss.
A daily cup of the warm beverage - if made with unsweetened powder - increases fibre intake and stops a person from feeling hungry.
Health coach Steve Bennett explained that hot chocolate is beneficial for those with a sweet tooth who are looking to slim down because fibre is slow to digest and prevents snack cravings - an important factor behind weight gain.
Bennett - the author of Fibre First - said: "Having more fibre in your diet makes you eat less and keeps you feeling fuller for longer.
"Cocoa powder, which should be the main ingredient in hot chocolate, is high in fibre.
"The problem with the shop-bought versions in the UK is they have too much sugar and e-numbers.
"But you can't have a simply healthy version that tastes just as good."
