Downing Street staff have been told to cut down on treats for Larry the cat.
A recent health check found that the moggy has piled on the pounds during lockdown and a memo has been sent to political staff urging them to "reduce" the amount of food they give the cat.
The memo warned: "Larry has put on 0.5kg in lockdown so likely too many Dreamies. Please can we reduce these?"
The feline was reportedly "noisy in the car, but remained dignified once in the vets - even whilst having his temperature taken in a place he wasn't expecting".
The memo added that staff shouldn't worry about the Downing Street chief mouser's flabby tummy - as the moggy is 72 years of age.
It said: "If anyone is worried his tummy area looks flabby - it is - but only as much as a 72-year-old, so let’s not be judgemental."
