The former US president is to sell $100,000 dinners at a fundraising appearance that will be held hours after his court appearance in Miami on Tuesday (13.06.23).
Trump, who celebrates his 77th birthday on Wednesday (14.06.23), will make a speech to supporters at his Bedminster golf club before offering photo opportunities and VIP receptions as he looks to capitalise on his federal indictment.
The controversial politician is set to appear before a Miami federal court on charges of illegally keeping top-secret files following his departure from the White House.
Trump is facing 37 criminal charges, some of which carry prison sentences of up to 20 years.
Despite his legal troubles, the latest polls show that the former president still holds a commanding lead in the race for the Republican presidential nomination for the 2024 election.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform to rally his supporters before heading for his day in court.
He said: "Getting ready to head down to Doral in Miami. We must all be STRONG and DEFEAT the Communists, Marxists, and Radical Left Lunatics that are systematically destroying our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Trump later wrote on the site: "ELECTION INTERFERENCE at a level never seen before in our Country!"
