Donald Trump has raged at Rupert Murdoch after the media mogul admitted that Fox News commentators made false claims about the 2020 US election.
In a defamation lawsuit, Murdoch acknowledged that some hosts on his network had "endorsed" baseless claims that Trump lost the presidential election due to voter fraud.
However, the former US president accused Murdoch of betraying the stars on his channel with the testimony.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday (28.02.23): "Why is Rupert Murdoch throwing his anchors under the table, which also happens to be killing his case and infuriating his viewers, who will again be leaving in their drones - they already are.
"There is MASSIVE evidence of voter fraud and irregularities in the 2020 Presidential Election. Just look at the documentary '2000 MULES' and you will see large scale ballot stuffing caught on government cameras, or votes cast without Legislatures approval, or just recently, the FBI/Twitter Files Scandal. RIGGED!!!"
Fox News is being sued for defamation by electronic voting company Dominion Voting Systems for $1.6 billion, with the company arguing that the channel aired harmful and malicious rumours about voter fraud that had harmed its business.
A legal filing revealed that Murdoch had told lawyers in the case that he did not believe in Trump's voter fraud allegations and felt that Fox News should have been "stronger in denouncing" the claims.
