Donald Trump has viciously attacked his political rivals

The former US president viciously attacked opponents including Bill and Hillary Clinton as well as President Joe Biden and his family as he held a New Jersey fundraiser on Tuesday (13.06.23) night - just hours after pleading not guilty to 37 federal charges.

Trump - who has been accused of unlawfully keeping classified security documents when he left the White House in 2021 - said: "Today, we witnessed the most evil and heinous abuse of power in the history of our country."

The maverick politician argued that his indictment is "another attempt to rig and steal an election" that is "straight out of a fascist or communist nation".

Trump suggested that he had every right to keep the documents and believes that the case against him is a "sham".

He said: "They are threatening me with 400 years in prison for possessing my own presidential papers.

"Whatever documents the president decides to take with him, he has the right to do so - it is an absolute right.

"They've got to drop this case immediately as it is destroying the country."

Trump also mentioned that classified documents were found in Biden's possession and made other claims against his 2016 election rival Hillary Clinton.

He said: "I'm the only one who followed the law.

"Joe Biden had no authority to declassify as vice president, I did as president. Nothing happens to crooked Joe.

"I did everything right and they indicted me."
