DNA tests on two "alien mummies" have proved that they are not human.
Ufologist Jaime Maussan stunned the world when he presented two mini corpses to the Mexican Congress in September and described the find as "the most important thing that has happened to humanity".
Maussan insists that the mummies are centuries-old aliens and has told a new hearing that 30 per cent of their DNA is "not from any known species".
Mexican boffins are also adamant that the mummies - uncovered in Peru - are "authentic".
Maussan said: "We have a clear example of non-human specimens. We are not alone in this vast universe. We should embrace this truth."
However, his fellow ufologist Will Galison has poured scorn on the claims.
He said: "It was obviously put together.
"I do not think that they flew down in a saucer and landed on Earth recently."
