Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has called for the "physical elimination" of Volodymyr Zelensky.
Moscow has accused Ukraine of trying to assassinate Vladimir Putin in a drone strike and the country's former leader has chillingly called for the Ukrainian president to be killed.
Medvedev - who now serves as one of Putin's top security officials - said: "After today's terrorist attack, there are no options left except for the physical elimination of Zelensky and his cabal.
"It is not even needed to sign an act of unconditional surrender."
The speaker of the Russian parliament Vyacheslav Volodin - another close Putin ally - called for a nuclear strike on Ukraine as a response.
He said: "An attack on the president is an attack on Russia.
"There can be no negotiations. We will demand the use of weapons that are capable of stopping and destroying the Kyiv terrorist regime."
Footage showed a flying object exploding in flames overnight above the Kremlin - where Putin has his office and apartment - on Wednesday (03.05.23).
The tyrant was not inside at the time and was not injured but Zelensky has denied that his country launched the attack.
He said: "We don't attack Putin or Moscow. We fight on our territory. We are defending our villages and cities."
