''I'm only 56. It's just not right.''
A woman has been awarded a four-figure sum in compensation after being deafened by fish fingers.
Sheila Atkinson was left partially deaf after making the breaded snack in a factory for 13 years surrounded by noisy machinery.
The 56-year-old woman claims she was never offered ear defenders to do her job and had to start using a hearing aid in 2009 following tests.
She said: ''I'm only 56. It's just not right.''
Sheila now works in a different part of the factory.
