Darth Vader to be Ukrainian President?

Darth Vader wants to be the next president of Ukraine.

''I alone can make an empire out of a republic, to restore former glories, to return lost territories and pride for this country.''

The 'Star Wars' character is running as a candidate for the Ukrainian Internet Party and has pledged to single-handedly take responsibility for the fate of the country.

However, the man - who has not been publicly identified aside from his trademark mask and cloak - could be running against as many as 14 other candidates.

He said in a statement: ''I alone can make an empire out of a republic, to restore former glories, to return lost territories and pride for this country.''

Presidential elections are scheduled for May 25 in the country which is currently in turmoil and it's not the first time that Darth Vader has shown an interest in Ukrainian politics as he reportedly received three percent of the write-in vote in 2012.
