The Czech Republic is the baldest country in the world.
Experts found that 43 per cent of men in the European nation are follicly challenged as the nation topped a poll with Spain second and Germany third.
Britain ranked sixth on the list that also featured France, Australia and Japan also featuring in the top 10.
The top five countries with the fewest bald men were all in the Far East, with China found to be the hairiest nation in the world.
A spokesman for Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor, which polled 10,000 men for the survey, said that fear of baldness "goes back centuries" as long thick hair is seen as a "symbol of masculinity".
Dr. Sameer Sanghvi added: "The majority of men lose their hair because of male pattern baldness.
"It’s thought to run in families, with our genes particularly sensitive to the hormone dihydrotestosterone — a byproduct of testosterone."
