A crab found on a street in Germany is thought to have escaped from a saucepan.
The crustacean, which has been nicknamed Krusty by the local animal rescue service in a nod to Krusty Krab from popular children's animated TV series 'SpongeBob SquarePants', was found in Dusseldorf, West Germany.
Carsten Schutz, a member of staff at the rescue centre suggested ''it's possible it escaped from a cooking pot'' as it was found near to several restaurants.
However, because of Krusty's ''approachable'' nature he could have also been a family pet.
Luckily for Krusty, he has now been homed by a local reptile and amphibian centre and won't be served up on a plate.
