Couples who bring up a dog together are happier than those who don't own one.

A survey has revealed that 60% of dog-owning couples say having a hound makes their relationship stronger as they believe getting a pet pooch demands teamwork and trust, whilst it also helps them spend quality time together.
Additionally, 43% said that they fancied their partner more after getting a dog.
Hayley Quinn - a dating expert for Match - said: ''Co-parenting a pet requires teamwork, the ability to compromise and, of course, good communication skills.
''Owning a pet together can improve the quality of your relationship. Seeing your partner demonstrate their emotional traits, such as care and compassion, can be extremely attractive and, as this study shows, increases sexual desire.''
However, one in six said their sex life had declined after getting a dog because the pooch regularly shares a bed with them.
