Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority police were called out to find out that an individual with a long gun was actually someone donning a Boba Fett get-up - complete with a toy firearm - believed to be an attendee of the annual Anime Boston convention.
MBTA Transit Police wrote on Twitter: “Multiple TPD units responded to #MBTA Back Bay for report of a person armed w/a long rifle. Officers located a person in character as "Boba Fett" w/a replica firearm. Officers conversed with the individual the scene was safe.”
The incident took place at Back Bay Station, a busy spot on on the network, which is close to Hynes Convention Center, the host of the celebration of the George Lucas-created world that sees fans dress up as their favourite characters.
