The most common sex injuries have been revealed.
A new study has revealed the most common sore points caused by activity between the sheets and concludes that females are more prone to mishaps when getting intimate with their partner.
The survey from sexual wellness retailer Lovehoney quizzed more than 1,000 people on their sexual shenanigans and found bruising affected 33 per cent of respondents - followed by carpet burns (31 per cent) and urinary tract infections (29 per cent).
The top ten was rounded out by pulled muscles, vaginal tears, back injuries, allergic reactions, anal tears, haemorrhoids and twisted ankles.
The more adventurous lovers were hurt during sex sessions in the shower, aeroplane toilets and in the workplace.
Sexologist Chantelle Otten commented: "Hickeys, spanking and rough sex are the most common culprits of bruising."
