A cobra died after it was bitten by a little boy in India.
The snake wrapped itself around the boy - who was identified as Deepak - as he was playing his background in the Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh state.
To break free from its poisonous grasp, the little boy retaliated by getting his gnashers into the snake, biting“hard twice” to fight back against the painful attack.
Deepak told the New Indian Express: “The snake got wrapped around my hand and bit me. I was in great pain. As the reptile didn’t budge when I tried to shake it off, I bit it hard twice. It all happened in a flash.”
He - after it was deemed he suffered a bite himself - was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, which included being given “anti-snake venom and kept under observation for the entire day and discharged”.
