Christian O'Connell took home the first place prize at the Red Bull Soapbox Race at Alexandra Palace on Sunday (12.07.15).

The popular radio host was joined by some 20,000 spectators at the wacky event, which was also attended by rugby player Dylan Hartley and TV star Jill Halfpenny.
Competing teams were judged on the basis of their speed, creativity and showmanship, while viewers and drivers were engrossed in the dramatic on-track action.
During the event, radio host Lauren Laverne and her children cheered on 'Frozen'-themed soapbox 'Snow Rocket' as it made its way down the course.
