Cadbury have confirmed that the UK is facing a shortage of 99 Flakes.
The confectionery company have explained that a surge in demand for the classic ice cream cone topped with the chocolate treat has left ice cream vans across the nation short of supply.
The iconic ice cream topper is half the size of a usual Flake bar sold in shops and newsagents.
Cadbury's owner, Mondelez, said that they didn't expect the increase in demand and says that the issue is thought to have only affected the UK and Ireland.
A spokesperson said: "We are seeing a recent increase in demand for our Cadbury 99 Flake in the UK and Ireland that we had not expected."
The chocolate maker has not provided a timeframe for how long the shortage of Flakes will last but said it was "working closely" with its customers to resolve the issue.
